Who We Serve

If you have questions relating to home purchase or fix-up, anywhere in Grays Harbor County, we may be able to help. We work with residents of all ages and income levels. Also, if you need safe affordable rental housing we may be able to assist you. We are here to make safe and affordable housing available to all residents of Grays Harbor County.

That is our only purpose.

Our History

Neighborhood Housing began in Aberdeen in 1981 when a group of Aberdeen residents, city leaders, and lenders first came together to create a grass roots organization dedicated to improving homes in two Aberdeen neighborhoods. These early founders affiliated the organization with the Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation, a national private non-profit organization, chartered and funded by Congress. ANHS became one of NRC's local charter groups known as NeighborWorks® Network Organization (NWO),and is registered with the State of Washington as Aberdeen Neighborhood Housing Services.

As the the demand for ANHS services leveled in Aberdeen, the need for those same services is growing throughout the rest of our county. The Grays Harbor County Community Development and Housing Plan documented exceptional need for housing assistance programs in both the rural areas and smaller cities.

Plans are now being developed with several local governments for new housing assistance program implementation.

NHS is proud to be celebrating its 22nd year in Grays Harbor as a community based housing organization. In this time we have created a proven track record in delivering a diverse number of housing programs and services. This positive impact has been recognized locally and across the state. We are very proud of the high standards and consistent excellent quality of programs and services offered to the residents of Grays Harbor County.
