| ANHS performs many services for
the residents of Grays Harbor County, and our goal is to insure people
not only know who we are, but all that we do, which includes helping residents
buy their homes, assisting with rehab, remodeling or updating existing
homes, and providing confidential financial counseling and education to
assist with understanding and/or obtaining financing and more. We can't
help our customers, however, unless they know about us.
In January 1999, we received a grant from the Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation (NRC). The purpose of the grant is to reinforce and build upon our communication with the people of Grays Harbor. We've been putting the grant money to good use. In 2002, we received a Community Development Block Grant through Grays Harbor County that allows us to take our very successful Home Ownership and Home Owner occupied Rehabilitation program into the county. That includes both unincorporated portions of the county and all the small cities. One of the ways we've expanded on our communication is that we've been publishing a weekly informational column in the Daily World Sunday edition. The column is written by Dave Murnen, ANHS Construction Manager, and Pat Beaty, ANHS Construction Specialist, and topics include recognizing and guarding against moisture problems in homes, inspecting roofs to stay ahead of repairs or damages, remodeling tips, and finding professionals to work with for remodeling, buying, and more. These articles help you make the most of your time and money when it comes to decisions about your home. If you haven't seen our Daily World articles, you can obtain reprints by visiting our office at 710 E. Market Street, Aberdeen, or by visiting our on-line archives. Keep watching and listening for more
information, both in print and other forms, as we maximize the ways we
communicate and serve customers to create results.
