The ANHS Practical Vision
Over the next two years, the ANHS Board of Directors will steer a course for this organization that will involve: |
|
Reaching out to the Community
As ANHS expands its housing rehabilitation, down payment assistance, and housing counseling programs countywide, the organization must expand its name recognition to a whole new group of consumers, businesses, and local governments. Building Community Pride ANHS will become a leader in building community pride in our county. Our efforts will focus on conducting major cleanup projects in target cities and rural areas of the county. ANHS cleanup programs should occur every six months. Partnering for Better Communities Being a community partner is organizing and completing high profile projects that make a difference to neighborhoods. ANHS intends to organize neighborhood improvement projects, construct another home in partnership with the Grays Harbor College, and plan another project oriented at housing people with disabilities. Providing Community Education ANHS needs to become "the housing school" for Grays Harbor County by sharing information about housing to citizens, builders, landlords, and local social service providers. ANHS can become the county's housing college by " Creating guidance for "do-it-yourselfers" " Helping to create a one-step housing assistance tool for community members who have housing problems or needs " Teaching homeowners and builders innovative construction techniques suited for our often challenging environmental building conditions " Providing assistance to landlords to help them find incentives for improving their properties. Managing ANHS Assets Continuing the good work of ANHS depends on the wise management of our assets. The organization must always stay on top of its financial planning and continue to put our assets to work by processing more loans. These tasks will assure our long-term financial viability. |
